Did you know there's a National Day for just about everything? Chocolate, bunnies, waffles, sending texts to your ex...everything. And some days even go international and invite the whole world to celebrate. And that's what today is. A day for the whole word to celebrate. It's World Heart Day!
You're probably thinking, "What does that even mean? World Heart? Like love? Or just hearts? And what kind of hearts? Heart shaped? Anitomical! We have questions Emily!" Calm down, calm down! I totally agree that there's a lot of grey area in this day so I'm going to interpret it the best I can!
World Heart Day (to me) is about the things that you love. The things that make your heart happy. The things that you say "I love it" about and that make your heart (figuratively) swell. The things that you hold most dear. The things that you get excited about. The things that make you smile and laugh and bring you joy. The things that are easy for you or the things that you're good at. The things that that have made you who you are and are what you're known for.
On this day when the whole entire world is celebrating hearts...it's important to aknoweldge the things that you heart the most. For me, the things I heart the most, the two most important things in my life are God and my family. They are the reason I am here, the reason I'm alive. They have molded me and shaped me and made me who I am. Without them, I simply would not be me.
And on this World Heart Day, I'm sharing a list of a few other things that I heart. A few other things that also make me...well, me!
I also heart:
-Potatoes in any form. Mashed, baked, scalloped, fried in the French form...
-Chocolate. My name is Emily and I'm a chocaholic.
-Cozy clothes. Being comfortable and cozy is my mission.
-Grandma L's chicken cutlets. If you've had them, then you know. If you haven't, well, I'm not sharing.
-Chapstick. I have a million different kinds in a million different places.
-Flowers. Fresh, dried, floral prints...give me ALL the flowers.
-History. Big time history nerd right here. World War II era is my favorite.
-Singing Christmas carols. Especially during the summer.
-Photography. I'm not a professional by any means but I'm pretty good if I do say so myself.
-Movie theater popcorn. Give me tubs of it. The microwaved kind is just not the same.
Wow. A lot of those of food aren't they? Well, I do heart food. #noshame

What are he things that you get excited about? What are the things that are easy for you or the things that you're good at? What are the things that that have made you who you are and are what you're known for?
